Dalen Terry
Dalen Terry (calf) probable vs. Heat Wednesday
Tue, Apr 15, 2025, 9:47 AM
Dalen Terry (calf) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Heat.
Analysis: Terry has been one of the Bulls' key bench players in recent weeks and has a good chance to be one of the first players off the pine on Wednesday. However, he's unlikely to have significant impact in such an important game.
Josh Giddey
Josh Giddey (wrist) says he'll play vs. Heat
Tue, Apr 15, 2025, 9:05 AM
Josh Giddey (wrist) says he plans on playing in Wednesday's game against the Heat.
Analysis: Giddey plans on returning from a two-game layoff against the Heat for Wednesday's play-in game.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo Ball (wrist) out Wednesday vs. Heat
Tue, Apr 15, 2025, 8:58 AM
Lonzo Ball (wrist) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Heat.
Analysis: Ball hasn't played since February and is set to miss Chicago's Wednesday play-in game. Josh Giddey and Coby White will have to continue carrying the Bulls' backcourt rotation.
Josh Giddey
Donovan: Josh Giddey (wrist) active vs. Heat
Tue, Apr 15, 2025, 3:54 AM
Billy Donovan told reporters Tuesday that Josh Giddey (wrist) will be active for Wednesday's game against the Heat.
Analysis: Giddey missed three of the Bulls' final four regular-season games but is set to return for the play-in game on Wednesday. Giddey logged 40 minutes in his last game and could have a similar workload against Miami with Lonzo Ball and Tre Jones banged up.
Jalen Smith
Jalen Smith records double-double off bench
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 9:54 AM
Jalen Smith recorded a double-double on Sunday with 12 points (5-of-13 FGs), 10 rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer against the 76ers.
Analysis: Smith was questionable earlier in the day on Sunday with a headache, but he ended up playing through it and recording a double-double in just 16 minutes. Smith has been the third center option behind Nikola Vucevic and Zach Collins, but Vucevic didn't play in the second half of this game, which allowed both Smith and Collins (13/4/2) to take on extra minutes. However, while they will still provide some depth, Vucevic will fill out most of the center minutes during the Play-In Tournament.
Kevin Huerter
Kevin Huerter scores 18 points in first half
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 9:51 AM
Kevin Huerter led the Bulls with 18 points (6-of-11 FGs), two rebounds, two assists and five three-pointers in a 122-102 win over the 76ers on Sunday.
Analysis: Huerter got off to a scorching hot start and entered halftime with 18 points and five triples. However, he didn't play after halftime and ended up playing just 16 minutes, though that was enough time for him to lead the Bulls in scoring. Huerter has played well since being traded to Chicago and should continue to play a significant role in the postseason. They'll host the Heat to start next week and will have to win two games to make the playoffs.
Jalen Smith
Jalen Smith (headache) available vs. Philadelphia
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 6:33 AM
Jalen Smith (headache) is available to play against the 76ers on Sunday.
Analysis: Smith was a late addition to the injury report on Sunday morning, but a headache won't keep him out of the lineup for the regular season finale. Nikola Vucevic is playing and will start, but he may not play many minutes. Smith will split most of the center minutes with Zach Collins, unless Billy Donovan opts to play Vucevic more than he should in a meaningless game.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo Ball (wrist) ‘unlikely' for play-in tourney
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 6:05 AM
K.C. Johnson
Bulls coach Billy Donovan said Lonzo Ball (wrist) is unlikely to be available for the play-in tournament.
Analysis: Sidelined since February, Ball will resume basketball activities on Monday. However, he's unlikely to be available for Wednesday's play-in tournament matchup with the Heat. If Chicago can advance, they will play the Atlanta/Orlando loser on Friday for the eighth seed in the East. Kevin Huerter has started in Ball's absence and should continue to do so.
Dalen Terry
Dalen Terry (calf) available Sunday vs. PHI
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 5:53 AM
NBA Injury Report
Dalen Terry (active) is available for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
Analysis: Terry has been upgraded from probable to available, and his playing time may increase on Sunday. The Bulls have secured the ninth seed in the East and have ruled Josh Giddey out. With Coby White's playing time likely being managed closely, additional minutes may be available to Terry, especially after halftime.
Jalen Smith
Jalen Smith (headache) questionable Sunday vs. PHI
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 4:35 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jalen Smith (headache) is questionable for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
Analysis: Smith is a late addition to the Bulls' injury report, which does not bode well for his availability. If he's unable to play, Zach Collins has the most to gain regarding playing time. Regardless of Sunday's result, the Bulls are locked into the nine-seed in the East and will host the Heat on Wednesday.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo Ball (wrist) out Sunday vs. Philadelphia
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 12:01 PM
NBA Injury Report
Lonzo Ball (wrist) is out for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
Analysis: Ball will miss Sunday's regular season finale and has not appeared in a game since February. The question is whether or not he'll be available for Chicago's play-in tournament matchup with Miami. Kevin Huerter will remain the starter, and the change has raised Red Velvet's fantasy ceiling. However, since the Bulls are locked into the nine-seed, he may not play starters' minutes on Sunday.
Dalen Terry
Dalen Terry (calf) probable vs. Philadelphia
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 8:55 AM
NBA Injury Report
Dalen Terry (calf) is probable to play on Sunday against the 76ers.
Analysis: Terry should be good to go after missing Friday's game against Washington. Normally, Terry isn't much of a factor in fantasy, but with Chicago locked in as the ninth seed in the East, they may turn to Terry for extra minutes to give the typical starters a break.
Josh Giddey
Josh Giddey (arm) out again vs. Philadelphia
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 8:54 AM
NBA Injury Report
Josh Giddey (arm) has been ruled out against the 76ers on Sunday.
Analysis: Giddey will miss a second-straight game, and with Chicago locked in as the ninth seed in the East, Sunday's game is inconsequential. Julian Phillips started in place of Giddey on Friday and should once again play a significant role.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo Ball (wrist) ruled out vs. Philadelphia
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 8:53 AM
NBA Injury Report
Lonzo Ball (wrist) has been ruled out against the 76ers on Sunday.
Analysis: Ball hasn't played since February, so his absence for the regular season finale doesn't come as a surprise. It's unclear if he'll be able to return for the Play-In Tournament, so we may not see Ball play against until the 2025-26 season.
Julian Phillips
Julian Phillips scores career-best 23 points
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 4:49 PM
Julian Phillips led the Bulls with 23 points (7-of-11 FGs), nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and three three-pointers in a 119-89 win over the Wizards on Friday.
Analysis: Phillips used a big third-quarter performance to help Chicago close the door on this game and set a new career-high for scoring. He scored 15 of his 23 points in the third quarter alone to help lead the Bulls to a 30-point victory. The 2023 second-round pick didn't play a significant role as a rookie, but he has played a larger role in year two. He started in place of Josh Giddey, and with Chicago locked in as the ninth seed in the East, Phillips will likely start against the 76ers in the season finale on Sunday with the veterans resting in preparation for the Play-In Tournament.
Nikola Vucevic
Nikola Vucevic turns in 15/12/8 line vs. Wizards
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 4:46 PM
Nikola Vucevic stuffed the stat sheet on Friday with 15 points (7-of-15 FGs), 12 rebounds, eight assists, one steal, two blocks and one three-pointer against the Wizards.
Analysis: For the second-straight game, Vucevic fell exactly two assists shy of recording a triple-double. Chicago has now won their last five games with Vucevic available, and he has recorded a double-double in each of them. His recent production is more in line with the numbers he was putting up early in the season, which is a good sign for the Bulls as they enter the postseason. They are locked in as the ninth seed in the East and will host Miami in the first game of the Play-In Tournament. Vucevic will likely sit against the 76ers on Sunday in the season finale.
Josh Giddey
Josh Giddey (arm) ruled out vs. Washington Friday
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 1:36 PM
NBA Injury Report
Josh Giddey (arm) has been ruled out against the Wizards on Friday.
Analysis: Coming off recording a triple-double against Miami on Wednesday, Giddey will miss Friday's matchup with Washington. Patrick Williams, Talen Horton-Tucker and Jevon Carter are all candidates to replace him in the starting unit, depending on how big or small head coach Billy Donovan wants to go with his opening lineup.
Jalen Smith
Jalen Smith (ankle) available vs. Washington
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 12:33 PM
NBA Injury Report
Jalen Smith (ankle) is available to play against the Wizards on Friday.
Analysis: Smith should be good to go after initially being listed as probable. However, with both Nikola Vucevic and Zach Collins available, Smith likely won't see the floor.
Dalen Terry
Dalen Terry (calf) ruled out Friday vs. Washington
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 12:20 PM
Cody Westerlund
Dalen Terry (calf) is out for Friday's game against the Wizards.
Analysis: Terry has been downgraded from questionable to out for Friday's game. His absence will not significantly impact active fantasy leagues, as most of the Bulls' perimeter standouts will be available. The lone question mark is Josh Giddey, who is a game-time decision.
Josh Giddey
Josh Giddey (forearm) questionable vs. Wizards
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 8:28 AM
Josh Giddey (forearm) is questionable for Friday's game against the Wizards.
Analysis: Giddey has missed a game with his forearm injury recently but is fresh off a triple-double. Jevon Carter has a chance to return to relevance if Giddey is ruled out, as Chicago remains short on guards.
